Over the past few months, we’ve been working on two special formulations called the C-Suite Drip & the Powerhouse Drip. These drips are intended for the executives, entrepreneurs, business travelers, and/or individuals that traditionally experience high stress over long periods of time. They are formulated to help with symptoms associated with brain fog, mental and physical exhaustion, poor sleep, lack of focus,  along with a slew of other symptoms.

What is brain fog?

Brain fog is a term that many people know but can sometimes be difficult to describe, especially if you’re feeling it.  It makes people feel “fuzzy” or exhausted, and makes it almost impossible to complete normal tasks.  People suffering from brain fog may experience problems with attention, concentration, speech, memory, organization, and other cognitive skills.  It can be hard to keep one’s thoughts straight, and long stretches of time can pass without getting much done.  They may describe being easily confused, unmotivated, or frustrated, and if the condition persists, they may feel anxious or depressed about their circumstances.  Some people can work through brain fog, while others find it debilitating.

Brain fog is not just related to feeling tired after exertion, nor will it go away if a person takes a short break or rest.  Brain fog does not exist on its own; it tends to be a symptom of other difficulties or disorders.  Brain fog can even be a symptom of a nutrient deficiency. These can be related to lifestyle factors, emotional well-being, and physical processes.  Below are some examples of causes, including what we’re learning about the novel coronavirus.  Please note that many of these factors can be interrelated.  For example, chronic stress may lead to not eating and sleeping well, and can negatively influence cardiovascular health.

Our C-Suite Drip & Powerhouse Drip both contain:

B-Complex

B complex, the eight B vitamins — B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 — are all water soluble vitamins, and play an important role in keeping our bodies running like well-oiled machines. These essential nutrients help convert our food into fuel, allowing us to stay energized throughout the day. While many of the following vitamins work in tandem, each has its own specific benefits.

  • B-1 (thiamine)enables the body to use carbohydrates as energy. It is essential for glucose metabolism, and it plays a key role in nerve, muscle, and heart function.
  • B-2 (riboflavin)–  helps break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It plays an important role in maintaining the body’s energy supply. Riboflavin helps convert carbohydrates into adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP produces energy as the body requires it.  ATP is vital for storing energy in muscles.
  • B-3 (niacin)It helps the body to use proteins and fats, and it keeps the skin, hair, and nervous system healthy. Other possible benefits of B-3 stem from its ability to lower cholesterol, and its antioxidative and anti-inflammatory properties.
  • B-5 (pantothenic acid) It helps produce energy by breaking down fats and carbohydrates. It also promotes healthy skin, hair, eyes, and liver.
  • B-6 (pyridoxine) – It benefits the central nervous system and metabolism. Its roles include turning food into energy and helping to create neurotransmitters (chemical messengers), such as serotonin and dopamine.
  • B-7 (biotin)  helps the body metabolize fats, carbohydrates, and protein. B7 cannot be synthesized by human cells, but it is produced by bacteria in the body.
  • B-9 (folic acid)also called folate. Folate helps make DNA and other genetic material. It plays a key role in breaking down homocysteine, an amino acid that can exert harmful effects in the body if it is present in high quantities. Folate is also needed to produce healthy red blood cells and is vital during periods of rapid growth, such as during pregnancy.
  • B-12 (cobalamin)Vitamin B12 helps keep your body’s blood and nerve cells healthy and helps make DNA. It also helps prevent certain types of anemia (a blood condition that makes people feel weak and tired).

All these B vitamins have a direct impact on your energy levels, brain function, and cell metabolism. They also help prevent infections and support/promote:

healthy skin, nerves and muscles, normal energy-yielding metabolism, and healthy brain function.

Magnesium

Magnesium, an essential mineral that supports metabolism with its effect on various bodily functions. Magnesium is crucial to strong bones and teeth. It is also required for the synthesis of glutathione, an antioxidant found in every cell in the body.. Magnesium also boosts immune function and helps regulate blood pressure and the heartbeat.

Saline (2L*, unless deemed medically unsafe)

Saline solution is a combination of sodium chloride and water. It has a similar salt and water composition that is in your bloodstream. It is used in IVs to replenish lost fluids and deliver vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. Since it contains sodium chloride, it can help with rehydration on the cellular level.

The human body needs the sodium chloride for many of its functions such as maintaining the right fluid balance, absorbing and transporting nutrients, maintaining blood pressure, transmitting nerve signals and for the contraction and relaxation of muscles.

Taurine

Taurine promotes the secretion of neurotransmitters and has been shown in studies to protect the brain against damage from free radicals. Taurine also strengthens the heart muscles, thereby regulating blood pressure and minimizing risk for arrhythmias.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin and a powerful antioxidant. Vitamin C helps the body form and maintains connective tissue, including bones, blood vessels, and skin. Benefits include a stronger immune system, prevention of hypertension (high blood pressure), improved mood, helps wounds heal faster, prevents heart disease, and fights lead toxicity.

Zinc

Zinc is a trace element that is necessary for a healthy immune system. A lack of zinc can make a person more susceptible to disease and illness.

MIC

MIC- methionine/inositol/choline- Lipotropes are substances that promote the removal of fat from the liver and reduce the production of fat. MIC is thought to generally help with weight management when combined with healthy eating and exercise. These compounds are a combination of ingredients that help improve the breakdown of fat in the liver.

Glutamine

Glutamine is the most plentiful amino acid in the body and supports intestinal health. L-glutamine may work for those with IBS because of this role. The tissues found in the intestine use L-glutamine as a fuel source to function at their best. L-glutamine is also thought to help maintain proper barriers within the intestine.

Glutathione

Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant found in every cell in the body. It is made of three types of molecules known as amino acids. Amino acids combine in different patterns to make all of the proteins in the body. One unique thing about glutathione is that the body is able to make it in the liver, which is not true of most antioxidants. Glutathione has many important functions, including:

  • making DNA, the building blocks of proteins and cells
  • supporting immune function
  • forming sperm cells
  • breaking down some free radicals
  • helping certain enzymes function
  • regenerating vitamins C and E
  • transporting mercury out of the brain
  • helping the liver and gallbladder deal with fats
  • assisting regular cell death (a process known as apoptosis)

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is essential for several reasons, including maintaining healthy bones and teeth. It may also protect against a range of diseases and conditions, such as type 1 diabetes.

Despite its name, vitamin D is not a vitamin, but a prohormone, or precursor of a hormone.

Vitamins are nutrients that the body cannot create, and so a person must consume them in the diet. However, the body can produce vitamin D.

What is the difference between the C Suite & Power House drip?

The difference is in the concentration of Vitamin C and Glutathione. The powerhouse has 2500 mgs of vitamin C and 600 mgs of Glutathione, While the C suite boasts a whopping 5000 mgs of Vitamin C and 1200 mgs of Glutathione.

What is Coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are a kind of common virus that causes infections in the upper respiratory system. Most strains of the virus are not dangerous and only cause mild cold symptoms. The current coronavirus, identified as SARS-CoV-2 by the World Health Organization, has quickly spread throughout the world. COVID-19, as it is commonly called, can cause infections of both the upper and lower respiratory tract. This affects the sinuses, nose, throat, windpipe, lungs, and other organs of those infected.

There are at least six known strains of coronaviruses that have been found in humans, with one strain being divided into two subspecies. With the exception of MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome), SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome), and COVID-19, the infections are generally mild and cause most of the common colds that affect humans during flu season. They are not a threat to generally healthy people.

How did Coronavirus start?

While there are still ongoing debates about how the virus originated, it is commonly accepted that SARS-CoV-2 came from bats, like MERS (Middle East respiratory syndrome) and SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) also did. COVID-19 is a zoonotic disease meaning it is transferred from animals to people. It is believed to have originated in Wuhan, China in their open-air “wet markets.” A wet market sells all types of animals that customers can pay to have killed on the spot, so the meat is fresh.

Because these wet markets sell all types of animals, common and exotic, the crowded conditions create an environment where animals can easily transfer genes to each other. This provides a chance for the virus to mutate and spread from animals to humans.

How does Coronavirus spread?

COVID-19 spreads the same way as other coronaviruses, mainly through person to person contact with someone infected. Those infected can have symptoms ranging from mild to deadly and because the symptoms vary so greatly it is not always possible to tell if someone has been infected from symptoms alone.

The virus can spread through spray droplets when a person who is infected with COVID-19 sneezes or coughs. If someone inhales or swallows these droplets, the virus can spread into the body. The virus can also spread from touching something that has the virus and then touching your own mouth, eyes, or nose. COVID-19 can live for several hours on a surface where it has landed. Different surfaces and textures hold the virus for different amounts of time. Below is a list of how long scientist estimate the virus can live on various surfaces:

  • Cardboard: up to 1 day
  • Plastic: 2-3 days
  • Stainless steel: 2-3 days
  • Copper: 4 hours
  • Metal surfaces: up to 5 days
  • Wood: up to 4 days
  • Aluminum: 2-8 hours
  • Glass: up to 5 days
  • Paper: (answers vary depending on the type) ranges from a few minutes to 8 days

To disinfect these surfaces it is important to clean them with a bleach solution if possible or avoid them until the risk of infection has passed. Mix ⅓ cup of bleach with water, spray surfaces and leave on for 1 minute before cleaning off with warm water and soap.

Currently, the transmission rate of COVID-19 is high, but humans can lower the risk by frequently washing hands for at least 20-30 seconds with soap, keeping surfaces clean, and limiting contact with people outside of your household. If it is not possible to avoid going amongst people wearing a face covering, such as a mask, and keeping a 6-foot distance can help limit the spread of infection.

Is coronavirus airborne?

Airborne transmission means that a virus, COVID-19 in this instance, can spread through aerosols that retain their infectious nature when suspended in the air for a long time and over distances. This topic is greatly debated and currently being researched but according to the World Health Organization coronavirus can be airborne for a limited time but only in certain conditions. One of these conditions is during aerosol-generating procedures in a hospital setting.

Outside of a hospital setting, there are studies that suggest that short-range aerosol transmission is possible in indoor crowded spaces such as restaurants, gyms or fitness classes, and indoor concerts. However, these infections can also be explained by simple human-to-human contact.

What are the symptoms of the Coronavirus?

There is a wide array of symptoms that can be present for COVID-19. The most common symptoms are high fever, coughing, shortness of breath/trouble breathing, body fatigue, aches, chills, sore throat, nausea, diarrhea, and loss of taste or smell. If more severe symptoms present it is time to call your doctor and visit a hospital. The severe symptoms of COVID-19 are trouble breathing, chest pain or pressure, confusion and disorientation, bluish lips or face, and the feeling of not being able to fully wake up.

The virus can lead to complications, especially if the human host has other preexisting conditions that make him/her more susceptible. COVID-19 can lead to pneumonia, respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, organ failure, septic shock, and death. These complications are caused by cytokine release syndrome which triggers the immune system to flood the bloodstream with inflammatory proteins called cytokines. However, there is a small portion of people that are infected with COVID-19 that present no symptoms at all. If you think you may have been infected it is best to get tested.

How deadly is coronavirus?

To calculate how deadly a virus is, scientists use a metric called infection fatality rate or IFR. It is determined by the proportion of people who get infected and die as a result of the virus compared to those who get it and recover. The IFR has been difficult to track because there are people with no or mild symptoms and because countries are struggling to keep count of all COVID related deaths. The WHO estimates an IFR of approximately 0.5 – 1% currently meaning that .5-1% of people could die from COVID.

How long does Coronavirus last?

For people suffering from mild symptoms, the recovery time has been estimated to be about two weeks while more severe cases or cases in people with an underlying condition recovery are estimated to take around 3-7 weeks. The CDC recommends isolating for 10-14 days after starting to feel ill or coming in contact with someone infected or three days after you no longer have a fever.

Can dogs or cats get Coronavirus?

Unfortunately, yes cats, dogs, and some other animals can become infected with SARS-CoV-2. There have been reports of animals getting the virus around the world. A couple of lions and tigers at the Bronx zoo tested positive after coming in contact with an infected staff member but have fully recovered since. However, there is no current evidence that shows these animals could spread the disease back to humans.

If you are worried that you have been infected or have come in contact with someone infected, stay at home! Contact us for convenient testing in the comfort of your own home.

Our immune system does a remarkable job of defending our bodies against disease-causing microorganisms. Our white blood cells are responsible for cleaning out minor scratches and keeping them from getting infected. Some of these cells make antibodies to intruders that our body has seen before. This humoral response makes it so we don’t get sick frequently or if we do it is only a mild infection. However, our immune system sometimes does fail and an invading germ or virus can make the body sick.

There are many reasons for our immune system to under perform. Underlying health conditions can make it harder for our immune system to fight infection. Treating any known illness can be the first step to improving your immune system. If you do not have any illness but find yourself frequently sick it may be worthwhile to support your body with the nutrients known to improve your immune system. These nutrients include zinc, selenium, vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin D, B vitamins, and glutathione.

The Immune System and Age

At the beginning of any disease outbreak, health officials need to start testing as soon as possible. It is important to identify those people that are infected so they can be treated, studied, and quarantined from the general public to help slow or stop the spread. This gives health officials time to prepare a plan before the number of cases escalates to outside of their control. This is especially vital for hospitals and clinics that run the risk of being overwhelmed and unable to provide care for everyone who needs it.

Testing for Active Cases

Generally speaking, as we age our immune response and the body’s ability to heal itself slows down. While some people age healthily, many studies conclude that, compared with younger people, the elderly are more likely to contract infectious diseases and are more likely to have worse outcomes.  It is important to take proper steps to make sure your immune system is in peak condition to protect yourself and your loved ones from contracting an infection.

Ways to Strengthen your Immune System

Following good-health guidelines is the single best step you can take toward naturally keeping your immune system strong and healthy. Every part of your body, including your immune system, functions better when protected from environmental stressors and bolstered by healthy-living strategies such as these:

      Diet:

               ● Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, half of your plate should be colorful fruit or vegetables.

               ● Try not to eat too close to bedtime

               ● Listen to your body; try not to over eat or eat when you are not hungry

               ● Drink plenty of water:

                         ■ half your body weight (lbs) = goal # of oz of water/day

      Exercise:

               ● Get regular exercise to maintain a healthy weight for your body

               ● Moderate intensity is the best for your immune system

               ● Do not overdo it! You shouldn’t be exhausted after your workout

      Sleep:

               ● Get 7-8 hours of sleep every night

               ● Dreaming is a sign of restorative sleep

      Self-care:

               ● Consider medication, yin-style yoga, tai chi, or other activities that require you to relax and think about things other than your to-do list

               ● Make time for family or friends

      Consider IV support:

               ● Drip IV’s Immunity Drip options (Vitamin D + Immunity, Super Immunity, or Immunity Drip

If enough people have had the virus, recover from it, and are then immune it creates “herd immunity” which protects the larger population. Immune people can also perform essential jobs that at-risk communities might not be able to or perform it with less protective equipment. The antibodies that a person makes can also be used to help treat others with the disease with a simple plasma donation.

Benefits of IV Therapy

Many aspects of life are difficult to control. At Drip IV we have formulated drips to support your immune system and get it back on track during a stressful time. The blend of vitamins in our Vitamin D + Immunity, Super Immunity, or Immunity Drip are all specially formulated to help your body fight off infections. All our Immunity Drip formulas contain zinc, vitamin C, and B complex with all 8 essential B vitamins. It also contains saline, magnesium, and selenium. You can add vitamin D to any of our drips. These all work together to aid your body’s natural ability to heal itself and keep your health in balance. Drip IV’s immunity drip formulas are fast-absorbing because it is carried directly to the bloodstream and does not have to pass through the digestive system.

This pandemic is a stressful time and it is safer to stay at home than to visit a hospital or clinic. Luckily, Drip IV is fully mobile and a qualified nurse can come to your own home to administer the drip. The convenience of our remote nurses makes our service accessible and comfortable.

The current SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19, pandemic has affected almost all countries and individual’s health and livelihoods. In most cases of infection, coronavirus only has mild effects but there are groups of people that are more likely to be negatively affected by severe symptoms and worse outcomes. These individuals include older people or those with pre-existing conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension, are more vulnerable. With a total of over 1 million deaths worldwide, testing for COVID-19 is more important now than ever.

Why is testing important?

At the beginning of any disease outbreak, health officials need to start testing as soon as possible. It is important to identify those people that are infected so they can be treated, studied, and quarantined from the general public to help slow or stop the spread. This gives health officials time to prepare a plan before the number of cases escalates to outside of their control. This is especially vital for hospitals and clinics that run the risk of being overwhelmed and unable to provide care for everyone who needs it.

Testing for Active Cases

It is important to keep testing even after the initial outbreak. Testing helps to identify new symptoms, side effects, possible complications of the disease, and changes in disease severity. Being informed is not only important for health officials but for those who are actively infected. Knowing that you have a disease allows you to take preventative measures from spreading it to your loved ones or strangers.

Testing for Past Cases

Testing for active cases of infection is vital, but so is testing people who have had the disease and healed from it. This is because COVID-19 is a new disease and people’s immune systems have never had to deal with this issue before. The immune system is designed to protect itself and heal the body to maintain homeostasis a.k.a. wellbeing. When your body is protecting itself, it creates molecules called antibodies. These disease-specific antibodies show evidence of past exposure and are incredibly important to researchers. Antibodies are like tags; they attach to the specific molecule and tell the body it is either bad or good. Then our white blood cells destroy the bad!

Methods of Testing

Currently, the two most popular ways of testing people for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, are the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test and antibody testing. The PCR test is a mouth and/or nose swab that shows if you actively have the virus. The antibody test looks for disease-specific antibodies and looks to see if you’ve already had coronavirus. Each test has its benefits and serves a different purpose.

Once you schedule an appointment, our nurses come to the comfort of your home to administer the test and then send the results to our partner lab, NKMax Health. Your test results are then sent to the ordering doctor who will contact you within 24-72 hours.

1. Swab / RT-PCR Test

The COVID-19 PCR test is designed to recognize the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus by looking for its genetic material. The RT-PCR test is collected by taking a sample from the mouth or nasal passages. A negative test result indicates that there was no viral RNA found in the respiratory sample and positive test results indicate that you actively have the virus. If that is the case, it is important to take steps to quarantine and limit the spread of infection.

It is important to get a COVID-19 diagnostic test if:

  • You present any symptoms such as fever, body fatigue, and aches, chills, shortness of breath, cough, or difficulty waking up.
  • You’ve been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • You’ve been traveling through high-risk areas such as airports.
  • You’re at risk of difficult complications if you become infected.

Certain groups are at higher risk of catching the virus and it is to their benefit to be tested. This group includes health-care workers, anyone staying in the hospital for an extended period, those that work in elderly care facilities or prisons. This is because these conditions are generally crowded and the population is already at a greater risk than someone staying in their own home.

What Specimen is Required?

To get an accurate collection sample, this test requires a sample of fluids from the upper respiratory system. This can be administered through the nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, nasal, or mid-turbinate to get a swab. The nasopharynx is above the roof of your mouth at the base of the skull and can be accessed through the nostrils. The oropharynx is part of the throat after the mouth and includes the back third of the tongue and the tonsils. The mid-turbinate swab is administered along the nasal floor until the stopper hits the nostril. It is repeated on both nostrils for an accurate reading. To schedule your real-time PCR test please schedule a visit online or call our office to set up an appointment with one of our licensed nurses.

2. Antibody Test

The COVID-19 antibody test looks for the presence of disease-specific antibodies in the blood that shows past exposure to SARS-CoV-2. This test is not a good measure for diagnosing active cases of infections. This test is also known as serology testing. A negative test result indicates that there are no antibodies found specific to COVID-19 while a positive result means that there has been past exposure and your body has healed from it.

If you have been exposed in the past your plasma and antibodies could be important to researchers in finding a cure or helping treat active cases. Currently, researchers and scientists are not sure whether the presence of antibodies means that you will be immune in the future or how long immunity lasts but they cannot do research without more data so it is still important to donate.

It is suggested that you perform an antibody test for COVID-19 if:

  • You have shown symptoms of coronavirus in the past but were not tested at the time.
  • You’re are about to undergo a medical procedure.
  • You are interested in donating plasma.

What does the Test Measure?

An antibody test measures antibodies that are created by the immune system as a response to a foreign virus or bacteria. These antibodies help your body fight off infections and can take several weeks to appear in your plasma or blood after recovery. This is why it is not a good measure for diagnosing active cases of COVID-19.

Antibodies are the proteins created by your immune system. This test determines if you have certain types of antibodies related to COVID. These are called binding antibodies and neutralizing antibodies. These antibodies levels are measured through a test called ELISA, or serological enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.

What Specimen is Required?

The ELISA test measures the specific lgG/lgM antibodies in your bloodstream, so a blood sample is required for this test. Our trained and qualified nurses will draw blood from the comfort of your own home once you schedule your appointment. Antibodies in the blood indicate a previous COVID-19 infection. Antibodies typically develop within 14 days after the onset of symptoms although some individuals previously infected with COVID-19 may not have shown any symptoms but will still have a detectable antibody response.

Testing with Drip IV and NKMax Health

Drip IV and NKMax Health have teamed up to create an easy process for testing current and past infections of COVID-19. A trained and qualified nurse travels to your home or chosen location and administered the swab testing for active cases or draws blood to test for antibodies. We then safely transfer your samples to NKMax Healths’ labs. It is tested there and the results are sent to the ordering physician. Your results can be obtained within 24-72 hours by contacting your healthcare provider. We also offer discounted rates for companies and groups looking to test together. A valid doctor’s order is required for testing so please contact your physician to begin the process.

The process for testing for COVID-19:

  1. Complete a test requisition form for both the real-time PCR test and the antibody test. This form must accompany the respiratory swab or blood sample when presented to NKMax for processing. The form can be accessed here.
  2. Once the form has been filled out, contact Drip IV for a qualified health-care professional to come to the convenience of your own home and administer the test or draw blood, depending on which test you would like.
  3. The sample is then shipped to NKMax and the results are sent back to your primary health care provider who ordered the test. They will contact you within 24-72 hours with the results and medical advice.

NAD+ IV therapy is a powerful anti-aging treatment used to revive and revitalize the skin and body. Everyone is affected by the aging process, weakened muscles, wrinkles on the face and body, and decreased muscle strength, but there are ways to slow down this process and help you feel younger and better. NAD+ or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is an essential coenzyme found in every cell in your body. It is involved in many metabolic processes such as DNA repair, and it turns food into usable energy and repairs damage in the body. Replenishing NAD+ levels may lead to a multitude of positive outcomes, including longevity, DNA repair, energy, faster metabolism, greater mental clarity, improved mood, improved neurological, and enhanced cognitive function.

Lifestyle Factors that Affect Aging

There are plenty of lifestyle factors that affect aging, such as sleep, diet, smoking, and stress, to name a few. While there are plenty of treatments to make you look and feel younger, NAD+ IV treatments are one of the few that address the problem at a cellular level. Another environmental factor that affects aging is sun exposure. In a study done on identical twins, the external factors that had the most significant effect on the aging process were sun exposure and smoking. While some of these factors are within our control to a degree, others are not, and that is why NAD+ IV is a treatment that can benefit anyone.

How NAD+ IV Treatments Help with Aging

NAD+ can help fight the effects of aging because it increases serotonin production in the body, which can help alleviate stress. Stress is one of the external factors that affect how we age. NAD+ can also improve neurological function, boost energy levels, improve athletic performance, and boost metabolism. The metabolism changes as we age, and it becomes more challenging to stay healthy. Drip IV has two different NAD+ IV treatments; the NAD+ treatment and the Super NAD+. Below we will examine the two formulas and their benefits.

Slow the Aging Process of the Skin

NAD+ synthesized in the body boosts mitochondria function and repairs damaged cells, including the cells that form the elasticity of the skin. This process reduces wrinkles, age spots, and fine lines caused by aging. NAD+ is injected intravenously and addresses the root cause of aging, unlike creams and serums, that are applied topically. Besides NAD+, the formula also contains a saline solution – an ideal combination of water and salt to rehydrate cells. This is important because chronic dehydration can also cause skin wrinkles to appear.

Slow the Degeneration of Muscles

Increased levels of NAD+ are associated with better muscle function and improved recovery time after injury or working out. In one study, it was even proven that the proven that increased levels of NAD+ in the body could improve muscle function in patients who have muscular dystrophy. This is because NAD+ helps to repair damaged cells throughout the whole body by boosting mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell.

If you are interested in finding out more about how IV NAD+ therapy can improve your age-related health issues and boost your body’s natural defenses, get in touch and speak with one of our highly-trained NAD+ medical staff members. We can answer all your questions and come up with the right therapy for you.

You may also schedule your appointment here or call/text us at 213.262.9665.

Drip IV’s Immunity formula is a specially formulated nutritional blend to boost the immune system and help alleviate the symptoms of seasonal allergies. Seasonal allergies develop from being exposed to airborne irritants, like pollens or weeds, that appear only during certain months of the year. Seasonal allergies are also known as allergic rhinitis or hayfever. Still, this name can be misleading because seasonal allergies can strike during fall and spring, too, not just summer when it is hay season. The allergens in the air cause the immune system to respond by creating antibodies like it is trying to fight off an infection. The antibodies cause histamine to release, and that triggers the body to react, triggering allergic reactions.

Symptoms of Seasonal Allergies

Symptoms of seasonal allergies include itchy, runny nose, watery or puffy eyes, coughing, throat irritation, sinus congestion, headache, fatigue, wheezing, sneezing, and itchy skin. These symptoms are uncomfortable and an inconvenience for anyone that suffers from seasonal allergies. The good news is that Drip IV’s Immunity Drip formula is an effective way to alleviate symptoms of seasonal allergies while working with your body’s natural defenses and boosting immunity. Our therapies can also be updated with an antihistamine to address allergies.

Learn What Irritants Cause your Allergies

It might not be entirely possible to avoid an allergen, depending on the source, but there are steps you can take to limit your exposure to these things. That is why it is essential to know what the cause of your seasonal allergies is. This can be done through a simple allergy test performed at your doctor’s office. Natural sources of irritants are pollen from grasses, trees, and weeds, which are in bloom starting as early as spring and lasting through fall depending on the local foliage. During spring and summer tree and grass pollen is most present in the evening while in late summer and early fall, during ragweed season, allergen levels are highest in the morning. Certain molds also grow more quickly in the heat and humidity and can also be considered a seasonal allergy.

How Does IV Therapy Help Alleviate Symptoms of Seasonal Allergies?

When the body has detected an allergen in the air it tries to protect itself by flushing the irritant out of the body. This manifests as a runny nose and watery eyes, which can cause dehydration if those lost fluids are not replaced. Drip IV’s Immunity blend formula comes with a 1-liter saline solution to replace those lost fluids and electrolytes that are necessary for the body to regain homeostasis. Seasonal allergies and irritants create inflammation in the body, which results in the stuffy nose and redness we associate with allergies. The immunity blend contains essential minerals and vitamins that contain anti-inflammatory properties. Below we will examine each ingredient to demonstrate how it can help alleviate symptoms of seasonal allergies.

B12

Seasonal allergies put the body into a state of stress as it tries to fight off the irritants that are causing inflammation. Stress uses up the body’s internal supply for vitamin B, which can further exacerbate symptoms. Studies on B12 have suggested that it can reduce allergy symptoms, specifically sneezing, congestion, and runny noses.

B Complex

B complex, specifically B6, which is also known as folate, helps regulate inflammation to suppress allergy symptoms and decrease the severity of an allergy attack. In one study, it was shown to lessen throat constriction and reduce mucus buildup in the nose. The B complex as a whole helps to boost the immune system during a time of stress.

Magnesium

Magnesium is a magic mineral that is a natural antihistamine and helps relieve contracted airways to the lungs. Its calming effect relaxes the body and the bronchial tube and lowers histamine release. By reducing the histamine levels in the body, magnesium can help alleviate the symptoms of seasonal allergies.

Selenium

Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from stress and can help regulate inflammation in the body. Reducing the inflammation stops the body’s natural reaction to flush out the irritants through your eyes and nose and reduces the symptoms associated with an allergic reaction.

Vitamin C

Vitamin c is especially potent for allergy symptom relief, and that’s why we include it in the Immunity Blend treatment. It is another natural antihistamine, and it can stop the body from releasing histamine and make it break down faster in the body once it is already released. One study showed that IV treatment with high-dose vitamin C significantly reduces allergy-related symptoms.

Saline

Allergy symptoms can dehydrate the body through fluids lost as the body tries to flush out irritants that trigger a reaction. As the body dehydrates, histamine creation increases in an attempt to hold on to the remaining water supplies in the body. This triggers allergy symptoms as the body tries to regain homeostasis. Drinking water can be useful, but for instant results, IV fluids are injected directly into the bloodstream bypassing the digestion system for a 100% absorption rate.

Zinc

Zinc is also beneficial for relieving symptoms of seasonal allergies because it keeps the immune system healthy. It also has an antidepressant effect on people and helps regulate stress. As stated before, any additional stress makes allergy symptoms worse.
